The Pegasus Group boasts extensive expertise in planning, commissioning, and operational management, derived from direct involvement in the listed projects as well as the collective skills and experiences of our extended consultant team.
Our project experiences encompass:
- Development and/or Project Management for Netcare Hospitals in South Africa, involving 50 Private Hospitals, including Facilities Management and maintenance requirements.
- Construction Management of 25 Medi-Cross clinics for the Medi-Cross group, before its acquisition by Netcare.
- Oversight of Emerging contractors for the construction of 19 Railway Stations, Shopping Centers, Game Lodges, and Housing Projects.
- Housing Projects, including Corporate housing for Ballito valued at $68.7 million, as well as Corporate, High-rise, and High-Density sectional title developments for both our group and large Corporations and Clients.
- Conducting feasibility studies and strategic plans for proposed public hospital refurbishments worth $150 million in the Newcastle and Kwa-Mashu regions of Kwa Zulu Natal.
- Director-level management of 2 highly successful Private Hospitals post-Turnkey development, including a 230-bed facility with 8 theaters and full support services.
- Development of a 150-bed private hospital featuring 6 theaters, ICU, radiology, casualty, oncology, maternity, pediatric, and general wards, along with consulting rooms, administration offices, and a restaurant.
Infrastructure
Operational Commissioning:
Over the past 31 years, The Pegasus Group has spearheaded numerous hospital projects, equipped with the requisite skills, technical resources, and expertise to offer comprehensive project management in hospital commissioning.
Maintenance/Property Management:
Our team comprises individuals adept at providing facility and property management for new developments, refurbishment, and expansion projects. While much of the expertise resides within the Group, we also engage a full complement of professionals for hospital development projects across Africa, ranging from architects and quantity surveyors to consulting engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects.
Experience in Equipment Management and Replacement:
The Pegasus Group and its partners in the Medical Equipment Management Department boast extensive experience in the selection, procurement, and maintenance of all types of medical equipment, focusing on health technology life cycle management.
Risk Management and Implementation:
We uphold a culture prioritizing the safeguarding of employees and property through consistent and comprehensive application of sound risk management practices. This involves the identification, measurement, and financial and physical control of all exposures to risk.
